FAA career prospects

Our goal is to provide you with the resources you need to become a successful pilot. We have the pathways to make your transition from cadet to airline pilot seamless.

The FAA requires all pilots to fly 1,500 hours before they can earn their Airline Transport Pilot Certificate to fly for an airline. One of the best ways to reach this requirement is to become a Flight Instructor! This is why we include the Flight Instructor Certificate in both our Professional Pilot Program and Airline Pilot Track. Graduates of these programs are then guaranteed an interview to become a Flight Instructor at our Florida campus!

The airlines we work with know that when they come to L3Harris to recruit, they will be speaking with pilots who have been held to a standard of performance necessary for success in the aviation industry. 96% of our cadets who are hired at L3Harris to instruct go on to be placed with airlines!

US Airline Relationships

Our US Academy has strong relationships with 14 airlines from around the U.S.

Our connections with 14 airlines from around the U.S. means as an L3Harris cadet, or instructor, you will have access to pathways that will help make your transition to becoming an Airline Pilot seamless!

These airlines are often invited to campus, allowing our cadets and instructors exclusive opportunities to speak with airline recruiters about class dates, salary, bonuses, and cadet programs! Some airlines will even hold on campus interviews for First Officer positions or for entrance into their cadet programs.
