Enrolling in our Professional Pilot Program or Airline Pilot Track and meeting the minimum qualifications will provide you with the opportunity to apply to join the Trans States Aviators Internship Program.

Trans States Aviator Programs

The Trans States Aviator and Aviator+ CFI Programs provid invaluable career opportunities for participants.  Aviators are mentored by Trans States line pilots, and are regularly brought to corporate headquarters to meet with Flight Ops leadership. Benefits include:

  • Pilots in both the Aviators and Aviators+ programs enjoy: 
    • Referral bonuses ($1,500 for each successful pilot referred to Trans States; funds are banked until the Aviator completes Trans States First Officer training)
    • Limited pass travel benefits
    • Up to three months of early seniority
  • Pilots in the Aviators+ CFI Program enjoy:
    • $5.00 per flight hour (up to $6,000) for each hour spent flight instructing. 
    • Pilots who take advantage of this program can earn a total of $44,000 in new hire bonuses.

From Trans States to Frontier

Take advantage of Trans States Pilot Flow Program, which guarantees participating Trans States pilots a First Officer position with Frontier Airlnes after as little as two years of service with Trans States.

Find out how you can go from no flight experience to flying at Frontier via Trans States:

Step 1 - Enroll at L3

The first step in your journey to becoming an Airline Pilot is to enroll in  our Professional Pilot Program or Airline Pilot Track. Both of these programs include accredited curriculum and airline oriented training that can take you from no experience to becoming a Certified Flight Instructor in as little as 15 months!

Step 2 - Join the Trans States Aviators Program

The next step is to apply to the Trans States Aviators Program. Aviators are mentored Trans States line pilots, and are regularly brought to corporate headquarters to meet with Flight Ops leadership and receive limited pass travel benefits!

Step 3 - Build Your Experience

Those that complete our Professional Pilot Program or Airline Pilot Track are guaranteed an interview to Flight Instruct at L3 in Florida. Our Instructors fly an average of 100 hours per month and 96% of our cadets who stay at L3 to instruct are placed at an airline! At this stage you can also apply to the Trans States Aviators+ CFI Program, wihch pays Certified Flight Instructors $5.00 per flight hour (up to $6,000) for each hour spent flight instructing.

Step 4 - Become an Airline Pilot

After reaching the FAA mandated 1500 hours of flight time, you will be eligible to earn your Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. Trans States will also covers the cost of the ATP-CTP for successful candidates!

Step 5 - Fly at Frontier Airlines

Trans States Airlines pilots have a direct pathway to the Frontier Airlines flight deck.  The Pilot Flow Program guarantees participating Trans States pilots a First Officer position with Frontier after as little as two years of service with Trans States!

No additional interview with Frontier is required for pilots accepted into the program.
