Our Airline Pilot Track prepares students whose goal is to pursue a career in aviation.

From learning to fly and taking your first flight as a student, to potentially working for us as a Flight Instructor, you'll be gaining valuable experience in the type of environment you'll eventually hope to work in!

Our Florida Airline Academy offers technology and instructors, to help students pursue their dream career.

Whether you are looking to work as a Commercial Pilot, a Flight Instructor, or work in another area of the aviation industry, our United States flight training scheme will provide knowledge and experience to help you achieve your ambitions.

Please note, this track is not eligible for Federal Student Aid or the F1 Student Visa.

Pilot training cost:

  • Tuition (estimated): $79,995

  • Books, supplies and mandatory electronic training materials: $5,000
  • Transportation, room and board: $22,350
  • TSA AFSP application (non-United States citizens): $260 ($130 each for two courses)
  • TSA fingerprinting (non-United States citizens): $99 (one time)
  • ID Badge (mandatory): $50 annual

Please note:

Pricing is current. All prices are estimates and based on the Training Course Outline (TCO) hours it takes a cadet to go through the various programs. All prices are subject to change. Each cadet's experience may vary and hours or costs may be different than what is quoted here. Prices include fuel and flight tests (unless student pilot fails the exam, then additional flight test charges will apply). Prices do not include fuel surcharge, over-flight charges from TCO, admission fees, books, supplies, TSA processing, visa application fees and extensions.

Transfer credit
Eligibility

Students with prior flying experience may be eligible for credit toward the hourly requirement established for each FAA pilot certificate or rating. Credit that may be assigned is governed by Federal Aviation Regulations 141.77(b). L3 Airline Academy will accept transfer credit on a case-by-case basis.

Applying for transfer credit

Students requesting review of any flight time, ground school or exams for the possibility of transfer must notify their admissions representative. All requests for transfer credit must be submitted for review no later than two weeks prior to the course start date; no exceptions made.

Flight Instructor employment

Upon successful completion of the Airline Pilot Track, L3 Airline Academy will guarantee students an interview to be potentially employed as a Certified Flight Instructor. This will allow you to build your flight hours.

Hiring process

Hiring is based on multiple factors, including the candidate's past training performance, communication and teaching skills, as well as successful completion of L3 Airline Academy's Certified Flight Instructor Standardization Course.
