World-class flexible technology in a lightweight, compact and survivable package The SRVIVR family of Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorders (CVFDR) combines the latest in recorder technology with the smallest and lightest, fully EUROCAE ED-112-compliant recorder on the market today. Weighing as little as 6 pounds, SRVIVR is available as a Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), Flight Data Recorder (FDR) or combination unit and provides up to four channels of audio recording for up to 2 hours. It also records 25 hours of flight data and 2 hours of CNS/ATM data link and includes a rotor-speed interface. All members of the SRVIVR family can be configured for specific aircraft requirements where there are a combination of digital and analog/discrete inputs as well as audio recording and rotor speed.

Upgrade for L3 flight data recorders. With requirements for aircraft to meet more stringent guidelines for underwater beacon operations, L3 responded with its 90-Day Beacon upgrade, which provides a more capable certified underwater locating beacon for all L3 Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorders. The 90-Day Beacon is a battery-operated underwater acoustic pulse generator (beacon/pinger) that is activated when the water switch is immersed in either fresh or salt water. The new standard for beacons, as defined in TSO-C121B, calls for beacons to operate for a minimum of 90 days. Factory-approved L3 90-Day Beacon retrofit kits are available for customers today.
