The series includes a combination Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorder (CVDR), a Cockpit Voice Recorder (CV) and a Flight Data Recorder (FDR). Its small size and lightweight construction make it the ideal, high-performance solution for an array of civil, commercial and military aircraft and helicopters while also being ruggedized against both High Intensity Radiation Fields (HIFR) and lightning strikes. For military applications, the unit can be optionally outfitted for Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations.

The SRVIVR family of Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorders (CVFDR) combines L3Harris' world-class technology with one of the smallest and lightest, fully EUROCAE ED-112-compliant recorder. Weighing as little as 6 pounds, SRVIVR is available as a Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), Flight Data Recorder (FDR) or combination unit and provides up to four channels of audio recording for up to 2 hours. It also records 25 hours of flight data and two hours of CNS/ATM datalink, and includes a rotor-speed interface. All members of the SRVIVR family can be configured for specific aircraft requirements where there are a combination of digital and analog/discrete inputs as well as audio recording and rotor speed.

Lightweight Data Recorder (LDR)

LDR does the job of larger units. When an aircraft is smaller, lightweight takes on a whole new meaning because of payload and performance limitations. The LDR from L3Harris provides a lightweight package for crash-protected recording of audio, image and flight data for general aviation and helicopter operators. Any subset of these critical benefits can be utilized for any particular installation not intended for regulatory-mandated applications. While some installations may make use of only the audio and image recording capability, others may want to exploit the full audio, image, data (ARINC 717 or ARINC 429) and GPS recording. The built-in websever allows operators to retrieve recorded data with just about a laptop and web browser. The DASU provides up to up to 240 MB of crash-protected memory and 1 GB of maintenance memory. Upgrade for L3Harris flight data recorders. With requirements for aircraft to meet more stringent guidelines for underwater beacon operations, L3Harris responded with its 90-Day Beacon upgrade. This solution provides a more capable, certified underwater locating beacon for all L3Harris Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorders. The 90-Day Beacon is a long-life battery-operated underwater acoustic pulse generator (beacon/pinger) that is activated when the water switch is immersed in either fresh or salt water. The standard for beacons, as defined in TSO-C121B, calls for beacons to operate for a minimum of 90 days, upgraded from 30-days. Factory-approved L3Harris 90-Day Beacon retrofit kits help improve the traceability and performance of your L3Harris recorders.
