Why now and why L3?

Hello everyone! My name is João Pedro I’m 18 years old, and currently I’m a cadet pilot at L3 Airline Academy in the theoretical phase of my training! Becoming an airline pilot has always been my childhood dream, and I’m luckily enough to say that there is no better time to start your training than now.

Choosing a flight school was a tough decision! After lots of research L3 Airline Academy is the school that best suits what I look for in an aviation academy. From the 1st day of ground school until the end of your training everything is top quality and of course, the strong relationship held by the school with airlines gave me a different and ambitious way to look to the future.

From my point of view, there is no better time than now to start your training to become an airline pilot. The huge shortage of pilots makes 2019 a perfect year to start your training due to the opportunities out there. That is how I see it. Despite the fact I have little experience, I strongly believe that I have made the best decision in starting my training with L3 straight after finishing high school.

Ground school is going to be by far the most or one of the biggest challenges of my life. It’s all about hard work. Classes are from 9AM to 5PM, with lots of private study for different subjects that are fast paced, for 14 exams and a lot of pressure. Of course, it has its ups and downs, but the time really does fly by. With good time management and lots of team work, you’ll see that ground school isn’t impossible, and at the end everything is really worth it.

The relationships between all staff members at L3 and your classmates is something that really motivates you and gives you all the right resources for your training. You will discover from the first month of ground school that these people will become your family. I’m fortunate enough to say that I have been given the opportunity to chase the career that I have always dreamed about, and I am doing it whilst being surrounded by the best people.

The ATPL course is hard, but think about how much becoming an airline pilot means to you and put all of your strengths and skills into it, you will see that the rewards are really worth it. There is no better time to start your course and follow your dream career as a commercial airline pilot.
