Airline Academy Reporting Analyst

This great opportunity has arisen with an internationally recognized and rapidly expanding airline pilot training and resourcing organization. This role will provide L3Harris Airline Academy with data and analysis in support of tactical and strategic decision-making. Through the definition of reporting metrics, collation of data & preparation of reports containing operational, financial, project, supplier and customer data this role will be pivotal to the enablement of real-time operational decision making and longer term strategic plan alignment. This role will be for an innovative analyst who can engage with stakeholders and make technical data made insightful.

Core duties will involve, but not be limited to:

  • Work with the key internal stakeholders within Airline Training and Airline Academy Leadership teams to have a consistent method to reporting metrics
  • Identify data collection processes and implement regular methods of presenting data to stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate reporting requirement definition for business reporting elements of the Training Management System
  • Co-ordination of operational data, working closely with the training academies in order to deliver a user friendly, reliable, balanced dashboard of measures
  • Production of weekly operational status reports
  • Production and distribution of weekly/monthly executive reporting packs
  • Measure and report training centre available aircraft, simulator, and classroom capacity
  • Measure, analyze and report on the utilization of the aircraft and/or simulators
  • To provide data and analysis in support of capacity change plans
  • To track and report customer feedback scores and comments
  • Provision of analytical expertise to the Planning and Delivery Teams and the wider Airline Academy.
  • Collation and consolidation of change project status reports

Essential skills and experience:

  • Highly numerate and strong analytical approach
  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with data tools such as SQL, Excel, CSV
  • Ability to communicate results confidently
  • Ability to critically evaluate data and draw conclusions from analysis
  • experience, including delivering qualitative and/or quantitative analysis
  • Ability to manage and prioritise one’s own workload, to consistently deliver analysis to required timescales
  • Ability to use own initiative in raising and solving problems
  • Excellent team working skills based on experience of working in cross-functional teams
  • Confident working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Aptitude to learn new data extraction and exploitation techniques
  • Experience in business performance monitoring and reporting


 Qualification and educational requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or with comparable experience with a strong analytical background
  • Would suit a recent graduate within a business or IT discipline, or an experienced reporting analyst

Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some late evening or early morning calls may be required with colleagues in other time zones such as New Zealand, USA, Asia and Europe.
