Finance Analyst TSUK - Crawley

Due to continued growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst, Training Systems.

To manage and process the data for forecasting, reporting and budgeting process for Training Systems UK. Co-ordinating and analyzing forecasting activity within a fast growing and high volume business.

Ensure integrity and accuracy of the Training Systems UK financial reporting. Challenge and support assumptions in modelling data and work with more senior members of the team to challenge stakeholders inside and outside of the finance function to drive financial performance.

This role will take ownership of the project and financial forecast, support EAC Excellence through robust analysis of project risk and performance (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash) and support all of necessary reporting to effectively manage risk both in current and future projects.

Core responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to:

  • Lead in the processing of data to prepare the Training Systems forecast, budget and actuals, working with the project managers and project accountants to ensure timely and accurate information
  • Lead the forecasting of the Operational Expenditure, working with cost-centre managers to understand variances and accurately predict future spend
  • Assist with detailed project P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow analysis to understand actual and forecast submissions by project along with key drivers. Provide variance analysis for movements, develop industry knowledge and detailed understanding of the business fundamentals to become a key contributor to understanding business performance
  • Develop and maintain regular KPIs, benchmarking and metrics to produce management information for the Finance Business Partner and Senior Managers
  • Model new bid proposals to ensure that the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow impact of upcoming contracts is known and understood. Ensure that financial analysis is robust to facilitate informed business decision making and build a reasonable and granular forecast.
  • Track business performance of key initiatives. Develop working capital management metrics to ensure that project dependencies are understood and reporte
  • Understanding and document the risk profile within the project portfolio to enable scenario analysis and ensure that correct governance is maintained.
  • Be a key driver of understanding costs for bidding and analyzing future cost opportunities and risk.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis



Qualification and educational requirements:

  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with relevant post qualification experience gained in project focused finance roles within large blue chip organizations

Essential skills and experience

  • Ability to handle complexity – experience of building new reporting and data modelling from scratch
  • Gravitas to challenge and support stakeholders of all levels across the business and challenge the status quo
  • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative
  • Comfortable and experienced in managing large volumes of data – able to identify and communicate key trends
  • Strong communicator that can tailor their approach to the audience and present with impact
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential
  • International outlook, ability to deal comfortably with various cultures is preferred
