Programme Quality Engineer - UK

Overview: We have an opportunity for a Programme Quality Engineer to join our team to provide support to programmes on product and supplier quality issues during the production, installation and operation of flight training devices.

As a Quality Engineer you will ensure adherence to and management of the company’s Quality Management System to ensure high quality and safety standards are maintained; any non-conformances are investigated and managed through root cause analysis; support functional leads in ensuring processes are documented, adhered to and improved; and ensuring the company remains compliant with corporate policies and appropriate international standards and regulations.

Core responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to:
• Ensuring that the programme team and operations follow company processes
• Attendance at programme meetings (launches, status reviews, design review)
• Programme safety audits, power on reviews and refurbishment reports
• Monitoring and reporting of Non-conformances generated on the programme
• Monitor supplier product quality and raise non-conformances
• Investigating the Root Cause Analysis of product and supplier non-conformances
• Supporting lessons learnt reviews and corrective action plans
• Produce and update process documentation (Guides, Local Work Instructions)
• Updating and managing the Reference System and Quality Management Systems
• Providing support for external audits such as ISO 9001:2015
• Carrying out in-house process audits on programmes or function process
• Carry out quality audits on suppliers to ensure compliance against standards
• Maintain performance dashboards and metrics


Essential skills and experience:
• Ability to work within a programme team
• Good written & verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Experience in production, quality or an engineering discipline
• Experience/knowledge of ISO standards and auditing is desirable
• Willingness to work flexible hours to support the programme if required
• Able to work away from home to support short duration trips (1 – 5 days typically)

Qualification and educational requirements:
• Qualifications in Engineering, Sciences, Manufacturing, Production or Quality

Hours: Working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
