Sales Manager - Whiteley


Main Purpose:  Responsible for growing the sales and business development of the company by improving and growing the business by fostering and developing relationships with customers, suppliers and other partners. By targeting prospective airline customers, you will improve profitability through careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets, or to enhance the operation of the business, position or reputation.


  • Identify new business opportunities for the Company including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
  • Liaise with L3Harris Sales team
  • Develop Product Marketing Road Map for each Product or Service area.
  • Perform competitive intelligence assessments, threats and opportunities.
  • Support development of Independent Research & Development & Sustaining Plans for each Product Line.
  • Oversee the Business Development activities of the Flight Data Services and IATA sales teams for the Flight Data Connect service.
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in the organization and generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
  • Meet with customers / clients face to face or over the phone.
  • Understand the needs of the customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
  • Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business.
  • Strong understanding of the Company’s products or services and be able to promote these.
  • Discuss and support development of promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department. These include Go-to-Market plans, sales marketing material and Value Pricing guidelines.
  • Deliver sales presentations and webinars to prospective customers. Co-lead Voice of the Customer analysis and plans.
  • Visit prospects where required.
  • Prepare and send proposals.
  • Attend seminars, conferences and events, to represent the Company and secure new business.
  • Liaise with the Head of Product Development and the Commercial Manager to ensure new and existing customers are supported.
  • Monthly reporting on Sales activity.
  • Travel within the UK and overseas will be required.

  • Ability to analyse sales figures and write reports
