JOB TITLE: Senior Financial Planning Analyst

We are recruiting a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our finance team in Crawley.

As the Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you will serve a pivotal role in financial planning and decision support, working across all departments and multiple divisions to provide a wide range of financial and decision support information to senior management. The responsibilities of the Senior FP&A Analyst include oversight and preparation of budgets, forecasts, month-end reporting and analysis, operational and management reporting, trend analysis, and ad hoc analysis to support management decision-making for new initiatives.

You will support the Sector Director of FP&A and Sector CFO in preparing and reviewing a variety of complex financial data and will maintain and update the marketing/sales financial models and forecasts. He or she will review actuals vs. forecasts, investigate material variances, develop tools for improving the forecasting and actual results and roll them out to the executive and management team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong Financial & Accounting background, have a good understanding of overall business operations and will enjoy working on very complex and critical projects.

Core responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to:

  • Financial modeling - Prepare comprehensive financial models with an integrated set of financial statements, assumptions (such as revenue, margins and working capital requirements) and metrics. Analyze past results and future outcomes in conjunction with market analyses to develop recommendations for changes in model assumptions. Perform sensitivity analyses to assess reasonable range of outcomes
  • Business analysis - Prepare executive summaries for topics such as market analysis, macro-economic conditions and financial metrics. These types of analyses require an ongoing understanding of key markets, competition and economic conditions. They also require an understanding of how these factors affect various aspects of our business, as well as our relative position in markets.   • Process improvement - Continuously develop systems and processes. Evaluate current processes, identify best practices, develop plans to reach goals and implement improvements.


Essential skills and experience:

  • Exceptional data analysis and reporting capabilities
  • Proficient in HFM Workspace / Excel Smartview add-in
  • Financial Planning & Analysis experience
  • Exceptional data analysis and reporting capabilities

Qualification, educational requirements and work based certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong partner-building skills

Hours: Full time - Working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
