We are offering 10 amazing female scholarships awarding £25,000 each towards the costs of training off our Integrated ATPL course. That’s right, 10 women across 2019 will be offered a female aviation scholarship to take them from cadet to co-pilot!
The L3Harris Pilot Pathways Female Scholarship is open to women from the U.K. and Europe with the first three scholarships to be awarded in the first quarter of 2019 and the remaining throughout 2019. The candidates will be evaluated on their performance during the selection process for the ATPL training programme and three short questions on why they deserve the scholarship. There will be no additional eligibility criteria to apply.
The female scholarship is part of the L3Harris Pilot Pathways programme which is a broader commitment to improving the accessibility of flight school training to aspiring pilots from all backgrounds. Additional scholarships and initiatives from the L3Harris Pilot Pathways programme will be unveiled throughout 2019.
For entry criteria, further course information and training sponsorship options available for our Integrated ATPL course please download the flyers below.
Female U.S citizens and female U.S. permanent residents could be eligible for the L3Harris Pilot Pathways Women Aviators Scholarshipwhich can be found here.
Olivia discovered the L3Harris Pilot Pathways Female Scholarship at its launch in December. According to Miryam, this scholarship has provided young women with the motivation, the opportunity and the means to consider becoming a pilot. She advises young women to actively look on social media and discover female pilots, as this helped her pursue her dream. Olivia is the first one in her family to be involved in the aviation industry, she would like to be an ambassador and a role model, to help inspire and motivate both women and men alike to join the profession.
The scholarship scheme is open to any female that is interested in applying to our Integrated ATPL training course in the UK and Europe.

Our goal is to address the lack of diversity within the aviation industry. The Female Scholarship programme is just the first initiative of our Pilot Pathways scheme, with other initiatives targeted toward different people being finalised.
We are committed to increasing diversity across all areas, and we are starting by addressing the need for more level gender playing field in the industry. To keep up to date with our Pilot Pathways scheme, and to be the first to hear when another initiative is launched, you can sign up to our mailing list.
Applicants must submit a copy of their valid passport to demonstrate eligibility. Eligibility will be determined by L3 on the basis of the application alone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. The decision to award the scholarship shall be made by L3 and L3’s decision shall be final. If you are not successful L3 may keep your application on file and suggest alternative programs that you may be eligible for.
We have various exciting initiatives on the way. We cannot disclose any details just yet but you can sign up to our mailing list to be the first to hear about any future schemes that open up.
Selection days are held with all applicants to our Integrated ATPL route, and it is likely that you will be competing against other candidates that have applied for the scholarship. In the same way that we assess our other candidates, the strongest performing individuals will progress with successful selection.
Our Pilot Pathways Female Scholarship will be open and closed at various times throughout the year, so make sure that you apply as soon as you can. You can also sign up to our mailing list to be the first to hear when the scheme is open for applications.
We have 10 scholarships of £25,000 to give away. Of these 10, we will be following a plan of awarding up to 3 in Quarter 1 of 2019, 2 in Quarters 2 and 3, and up to 3 in the final Quarter of 2019.
We can’t confirm the start dates of successful candidates until the application process has been finalised and a final result is decided upon.
If you are not awarded the scholarship you may still be awarded a place on our Integrated ATPL course, just without the scholarship towards the course fees.
We do not look at anything except for the suitability and ability of each candidate and applications are treated with the same status, regardless of financial background.
As with all of our Integrated ATPL courses, locations are confirmed at much later dates. As part of the scholarship we will give you a few course dates to start on throughout the year so please keep in mind that if you are awarded a scholarship in January you might not get a course start date until December of that year.
The Pilot Pathways Female Scholarship is for £25,000 off of the total course fees of the Integrated ATPL route. You will still be required to secure funding for the remaining balance of the course fee, being the Security Bond and the Training Fee.
Payment can only be made in Pound Sterling. The €29,000 is an illustrative value based on approximate market rates at date of launch (December 3, 2018). The actual scholarship will be made in Pound Sterling and cannot be claimed in Euros.
