Pilot Training Programs

Keen to pursue a career in aviation? Our pilot training programs in the U.S.A. are suitable for all levels of flying experience to help you become a successful pilot!

On successful graduation of our Professional Pilot Program (PPP), you’re guaranteed an interview to become a Flight Instructor with us. 96% of our graduates who stay with us to build their flight hours as a CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) go on to be placed with regional and national airlines.

Our Orlando flight school in Central Florida is equipped with modern facilities and professional flight instructors. Train on one of our 5 different flight training devices (FTDs), and gain real flying experience in our fleet of 100 single and multi-engine aircraft. As a private flight school, we experience much less air traffic than larger academies or commercial airports. Our cadets also have access to technical libraries, operations rooms, multimedia-equipped classrooms, and study halls.

Our Florida flight school offers a range of commercial pilot training programs including our flagship course Professional Pilot Program (PPP), Airline Pilot Track (APT), Commercial Pilot Track (CTP) as well as self-paced individual courses and college degrees in aviation.

Our pilot training is intensive but fun too! Most of our cadets graduate from our Professional Pilot Program (PPP) in just 15 months!

Concerned about the cost of pilot training programs in the U.S.A? L3Harris Flight Academy is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) meaning eligible students can utilize Federal Financial Aid when applying for our PPP course. There are many other financial aid options such as scholarships, state funding, and private loans that can be used towards pilot training in the U.S.

Learn how to kick start your commercial pilot training in the US

Undertaking FAA pilot training is an investment in your future. Which pilot training course is right for you will depend on your career aspirations and goals.

For those students looking to undertake airline pilot training, our PPP course offers the most typical progression into commercial airline pilot careers with the opportunity to join L3Harris as a Flight Instructor and build up the necessary flight hours to apply for a role as Co-Pilot.

The Commercial Pilot Track (CPT) is designed for cadets who want to pursue a career as a commercial pilot but are not necessarily interested in becoming a Flight Instructor.

If you are looking for greater flexibility of choice in your future career our Airline Pilot Track (APT) opens up a host of opportunities from becoming a commercial pilot, a flight instructor, or any other area in the aviation industry.

Once you have chosen your course, it’s just a matter of checking your eligibility for your chosen pilot training program, and filling in an application to L3Harris, before getting settled into your home away from home and beginning your pilot training journey.
